The WBT is celebrating 40 years of Broadway Musicals & Fine Dining! For this momentous occasion, Mary Poppins is flying onto our stage! The cherished 1964 Disney film has been re-imagined into a spectacular new musical. The show has been created, in collaboration with Cameron Mackintosh, by Academy Award-winning screenwriter and Downton Abbey creator, Julian Fellowes.
It delighted Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances and received nominations for nine Olivier and seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Featuring all of the unforgettable songs of the movie, timeless classics, such as "Feed the Birds", "Jolly Holiday", "Step in Time" and the Academy Award-winning "Chim-Chim Cher-ee" this show can only be described as "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"!
Bert, the jack-of-all trades, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes both children and adults alike on many magical and memorable adventures, discovering a world where "anything can happen if you let it".

The productions is Directed and Choreographed by WBT favorite, Richard Stafford, who has been at the helm for many WBT productions including Guys & Dolls, Fiddler On The Roof, Can-Can, George M!, Hairspray, Beauty & the Beast, Gypsy, and Singin' in the Rain. Associate Director and Choreographer is Jonathan Stahl. The Musical Director is Leo Carusone, Set Design is by Steven Loftus, Lighting Design is by Andrew Gmoser, Sound Design is by Jonathan Hatton and Mark Zuckerman, Costume Design is by Derek Lockwood, Wig design by Gerard Kelly and the Production Stage Manager is Victor Lukas, Properties are by Grumpy Props. As with all our productions, Lisa Tiso is the Associate Producer.

Leo Ash Evans (Bert), made his Broadway debut in the most recent revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, has recently taken part in readings of Diner and The Honeymooners, was seen Off-Broadway in Finks, Around the World, Wanda's World and Yank and in the Ravinia Festival production of Gypsy (starring Patti LuPone) as Tulsa. He has toured in productions of 42nd Street, On the Record and West Side Story, and his NYMF credits include Harmony, I Prefer to Dream, But I'm a Cheerleader, Going Down Swingin and The Taxi Cabaret. Among Evens' regional credits are Oklahoma!, Cabaret, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Footloose. He also played Jamie in Matthew Lopez's world-premiere play Somewhere.
Richard Stafford (Director/Chorographer) Returning to WBT, having directed and choreographed Guys & Dolls, Fiddler On The Roof, Can-Can, George M!, Hairspray, Singin' In The Rain, A Wonderful Life, Beauty And The Beast, Gypsy, The Full Monty and Cats in past seasons. On Broadway, Mr. Stafford was the choreographer for In My Life (Music Box Theatre), the associate choreographer for Aspects Of Love (Broadhurst Theatre), and dance supervisor for Cats (Winter Garden Theatre). Off-Broadway credits include choreography for A Tree Grows In Brooklyn (St. Clements). Internationally he was director/choreographer for The Full Monty, Joseph...Dreamcoat (Mexico City), choreographer for Jesus Christ Superstar (Mexico City), Evita (Sydney), Cats (Mexico City, Buenos Aires) and director/choreographer for Cats (Copenhagen, Sao Paulo,Rio). National Tours include Cats (director/ choreographer), My Fair Lady (choreographer), Joseph...Dreamcoat (choreographer) and numerous Regional Theatre Productions.
