The Schoolhouse Theater presents LOVE LINDA, the Life of Mrs. Cole Porter, What is this Thing called Love? a celebration of the enduring legacy of the Cole Porter songbook. The one-woman tour de force, directed by Tony-Award-winning director Richard Maltby, Jr. and starring acclaimed jazz vocalist Stevie Holland, enjoyed a highly successful Off-Broadway run 2013-2014 and now comes to the Schoolhouse Theater for a very special limited engagement on Fridays and Saturdays October 5,6,12 and 13 at 8pm and on Sundays October 7 and 14 at 3PM. The Schoolhouse Theater presentation of LOVE LINDA is the last chance to see this production in Westchester prior to the show's return to New York City.

The score for LOVE LINDA includes such beloved Cole Porter songs as "Night and Day," "I Love Paris in the Night," and "Love for Sale." These and other Porter songs tell the story of Linda Lee Thomas, a Southern beauty who married and became the muse and inspiration behind the legendary songwriter. Though Mr. Porter was gay, their couple's companionship, devotion and love lasted through 35 years of marriage.

This special Westchester limited engagement is directed by Richard Maltby, Jr., director of the acclaimed Tony winning musicals Ain't Misbehavin' and Fosse.

Performer Stevie Holland has toured extensively through the US, performing at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Iridium Jazz Club, Town Hall, Merkin Concert Hall in New York, and many other venues. She earned her Backstage Magazine's "Outstanding Vocalist of the year" award in 2004, and her album Before Love Has Gone was selected as USA Today 2008 top album.

Performances will be on The Schoolhouse Theater's main stage at 3 Owens Road, North Salem, NY 10560. Individual tickets are $38 (general admission); tickets for the entire four-play season are available for $120. Box Office: (914) 277 8477 or online at https://www.schoolhousetheater.org/
