It's back! Irvington Town Hall Theater (ITHT) kicks off their 2016-2017 season on Saturday, September 17th at 7:30pm with the return of The ITHT Tune-Up Chorus.

People had such a great time last season that "The Friends of the Theater" has expanded the repertoire to include songs from the 60s until now. The event offers music lovers the opportunity to gather together and sing some favorite tunes with complete abandon-- regardless of ability! Pop-up choruses have been a huge hit around the country and "The Friends of the Theater" think it's an awesome way to have a terrific evening while raising funds for our theater. The Irvington Town Hall Theater will come alive with singing when the community comes together under the musical direction of our very own theater manager, Greg Allen.

"Last year was a blast and our audience wanted a repeat so we decided to make it a yearly event," says Alison Cooper-Mullin, Friends of the Theater Member and Tune-Up Chorus Chairperson. "We think our larger song list will generate even more excitement than last season."

The ITHT Tune-Up Chorus is a benefit to 'tune-up' our theater with your ticket purchases

going to support a new entrance/lobby beautification project. We'll enjoy food and beer donated by Captain Lawrence Brewing Company while having a community party. Our theater manager is an accomplished musical director and is bringing David Maglione with him to provide irresistible back-up music.

Tune-Up Chorus offers the thrill of a flash mob with the spirit of a backyard BBQ - and you don't even have to be a great singer to be involved -- just someone wanting to have fun!

"I've had a fantastic time working with Alison and David On this event," says Theater Manager Greg Allen. "Now I just have to work on learning all of those songs we've chosen and hope that everyone sings out really loudly!"

All tickets for the event are $20 and can be purchased in advance at www.irvingtontheater.com. Irvington Town Hall Theater is located at 85 Main Street, Irvington, NY.
