The Historic Jordan Springs Estate, just 4 miles from the heart of Winchester, will be transforming its ballroom into a summer dinner theatre complete with stage, lighting, and sound for Wayside Theatre's limited engagement production of "Always...Patsy Cline" opening July 9, 2010. The pairing of Jordan Springs' ambiance, culinary offerings, and location along with Wayside's enchanting theatrical capability promise an evening of entertainment that is sure to please.
Director Warner Crocker brings to the stage Nancy O'Bryan, who has played Patsy at numerous theatres in the United States in both "Always...Patsy Cline" and "A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline." She was most recently seen at Wayside Theatre in the 2009 production of "Man of La Mancha" as Aldonza.
According to Wayside Theatre's Artistic Director Warner Crocker, "We are delighted to work with Historic Jordan Springs on this new venture. We believe the combination of the wonderful setting at Historic Jordan Springs, the excellent food and service that is offered, and the music of Patsy Cline will offer audiences a real summer dinner theatre treat."
"Always...Patsy Cline" is an intimate look at the woman behind the legend, written by Ted Swindley, with an insider's story as only a true friend could tell it. Featuring songs like "Crazy," "She's Got You," "Back in Baby's Arms," "Walking After Midnight," "I Fall To Pieces," and "Your Cheating Heart," "Always...Patsy Cline" has been a crowd-pleaser from its debut.
