Actor and playwright Frank Ingrasciotta will next perform his acclaimed one-man play Blood Type: RAGU at White Plains Performing Arts Center in White Plains, NY.
Ingrasciotta portrays over 20 characters in this fast-paced tour-de-force journey and describes the show as, "a funny and heart-warming coming-of-age story exploring the first-generation immigrant child's struggle to finding identity, understanding and healing. Its universal themes resonate to anyone who has a family." Asked how much of the show was autobiographical and how much was fictional, Ingrasciotta replied, "It's 80 percent true, 10 percent my wife's story combined into mine, and 10 percent heightened for drama."
The play's Off-Broadway production enjoyed a commercial run at the Actors Playhouse, which the New York Times reviewed as, "a garrulous and enlightening production with a lasting rewarding flavor." It has toured nationally and internationally and has received top honors at the United Solo Festival for Best Comic Actor and Best Comedic Script.
