Clocktower Players JR Teen Troupe to Present THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE!, 1/23-24

Clocktower Players JR Teen Troupe presents THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE this weekend only! The performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Irvington Town Hall Theater. Based on the 1967 movie musical with Julie Andrews, 'Millie' opened on Broadway in April 2002 and won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It's the zany 1920's musical that took Broadway by storm! Filled with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady of a villain that audiences will love to hate, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE is a perfect evening of madcap merriment. It tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the big city in search of a new life for herself. It's a New York full of intrigue and jazz - a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. This high-spirited musical romp will have all of Irvington dancing the Charleston!
