CARRIE THE MUSICAL, Starring Jenna Dallacco, Returns to New York at Westchester Sandbox Theatre

Complete casting has been announced for the Westchester Sandbox Theatre's mainstage production of CARRIE The Musical running October 2nd-11th, 2015 at the Mamaroneck venue. Based on the acclaimed novel by Stephen King, Carrie features a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film), lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Footloose & Fame), and music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame).

The Westchester Sandbox Theatre presents the first adult production of the musical in the Westchester area after numerous teen youth theatres have presented the title since its release. In previous seasons, the Westchester Sandbox Theatre has been fortunate enough to premiere the NY regional premiere of NEXT TO NORMAL and the Westchester premiere of AVENUE Q on their mainstage; they are thrilled to add Carrie to their list of firsts!

Artistic Director Jason Summers expounds on this: "Having a space that can so beautifully house contemporary musicals is a joy for us here at the Sandbox. As an intimate 100 seat theater, we can bring our audiences right in to the action. And with a musical like Carrie, that means bringing them close enough to scare the living hell out of them!"

The production features the talents of both NYC and local professional actors and is directed by Daniel Ferrante, Executive Director of the Sandbox, with musical direction by Stephen Ferri and choreography by Lexie Fennell Frare. Leading the company of actors are Jenna Dallacco as Carrie White and Paulette Oliva as Margaret White; the cast also features the talents of Sarah Brown, David Cronin, Jara Gold, Devon Frieder, Melissa Rose Hirsch, Chris Hlinka, Kevin Ray Johnson, Max King, Kayleigh Powell, Alexandra Schwartz, Shawn WilLiam Smith and Jonathan Stevens.

CARRIE performs at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre located at 931 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck NY on October 2,3,9 and 10 at 8pm, October 4, 10 and 11th at 2pm and October 8 at 7pm.
