The Players at Barker is proud to present Joan Didions The Year of Magical Thinking, a dramatization of her memoir of the sudden and unexpected of her husband and her daughters serious illness. Originally a one woman play, Director Pat Hawkridge has been given permission to explore the play with a company of 8 female-indentifying actors. Working with local filmmaker Katherine Reaves, Hawkridge has visualized both the singular and the collective experience of grief, loss, survival and hope that is both timeless and, at this moment in history, particularly timely. Streaming April 9-11, tickets can be obtained at playersri.org/ticketing. Members of The Players should click on Member Ticket Reservation. Non-members should click on Online Ticket Purchase. You will be sent to ShowTix4U, where you will click on Rent Video. Tickets are $25.00/device ($15.00/device for students). Once tickets have been purchased, the play will be available continuously from 12:00am 4/9 to 11:45pm 4/11.
