Attleboro Community Theatre closes it’s 60th season with “The Boys Next Door” by Tom Griffin.
Boys is a well-loved staple in community theatre, bringing to life the antics and personalities of 4 men with developmental disabilities who live in a group home. Each of the lovable men have their own quirky, engaging personalities that are played out on stage.
They are cared for by a social worker named Jack, the man who is employed as their primary caretaker. Jack is divorced, exhausted, and thinking about making a change in his life. But what will a change mean for the four lovable, eccentric men who depend solely on Jack? Change is so hard for anyone, especially those who are disabled. This show will make you laugh, make you smile, fill you with joy and maybe even make you shed a tear.
Directed by Kelli Tallman, assisted by Doug Greene. The Boys Next Door runs from May 5th to May 21st, Attleboro Community Theatre, Bates Masonic Lodge, 71 North Main St., Attleboro.
