Holiday Trifecta: Gift of the Magi, Balls & The First Noel at The Arctic Playhouse

The Arctic Playhouse announces 3 weeks of performances of Three Holiday One Acts: Gift of the Magi adapted by Brainerd Duffield and Balls & The First Noel (from 4' XMas) by George Cameron Grant. A sublime mixture of fall-off-your-seat hilarity and heart-warming stories, this show is the perfect evening out for the season.

"Gift of the Magi" is about a couple who are young, terribly in love, and flat broke. Finding a gift that will express the warmth and closeness they feel for each other is almost impossible. This bittersweet love story describes the gifts Della and Jim give, and the price they have to pay. Their folly, however, makes them even richer. This is a beautiful, sympathetic, and warmly human account of O. Henrys well-known story.
"Balls", by George Cameron Grant, is a hilarious conversation between five multi-colored Christmas ornaments with strong personalities tucked snugly in a box.
"The First Noel" : A homeless and hungry Noel returns to the site of her childhood, now a Chinese take-out, but will her journey get her the handout she wants, or the nurturing she needs?

The show is directed by Rachel Hanauer, who is joined by cast members (in alphabetical order) Jeff Blanchette (Jim), Terry Brittell (Gold Ball), Patricia Cousinau (Madame Sofronie), Aden Duffy (Della, Noel) , Jessica Gates (Silver Ball), Katherine Kimmel (Green Ball), Jenna Petrarca (Maggie), Nicole Rodrigues (Noel, Stage Manager.), Mario Sasso (Blue Ball), and Graham Stokes (Red Ball). Gabrielle Bloomingburgh joins as stage manager/tech.

The show will run at The Arctic Playhouse in West Warwick, RI, from Thursday December 5th - Saturday December 22nd. Thursday, Friday & Saturday night performances at 7:30pm, Sunday matinees at 2pm.
