The Wilbury Theatre Group will hold auditions for its 2015-16 season on Saturday, May 30 from 10:00am-5:00pm, and on Sunday May 31 from 12:00pm-5:00pm. Audition slots are limited and are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Auditions will be held at the The Wilbury Theatre Group, 393 Broad Street, Providence RI.
The Wilbury Group is looking to cast various roles in the 2015-16 Season, which starts performances in mid-September and runs through early June.

Michael, Late 30s-early 40s. MUST SING - this is a sung-through rock musical. Michael is a kind man, a good dad, the one you marry. Handsome, content, a calming presence. Happy and proud of the life he and Sara have built together. The kind of guy who usually takes the high road, but when he's pushed off it, he is capable of explosive anger.
Narrator, Woman, 30s. A soulful, sometimes wry observer. A woman with a story to tell, and the charisma to draw us in. But there's a large and surprising well of passion beneath her affable demeanor.

Johnny 'Rooster' Byron has been cast.
Ginger 15-30 - pathetic underdog of the group, he is older than the others who hang around with Johnny, never having grown out of the lifestyle. He aspires to be a DJ, but is in fact an unemployed plasterer
Professor 40-70- vague and whimsical, the elderly professor spouts philosophical nothings and unwittingly takes LSD
Davey 15-30- abattoir worker who is best friends with Lee, and visits Rooster regularly for free drugs and alcohol. He can't stand the idea of leaving Wiltshire
Troy Whitworth - local thug, the same age as Ginger; his stepdaughter, whom (it is strongly implied) he sexually abuses, goes missing in the play
Lee - 15-25, he enters the play having been hidden in the sofa asleep after about 15 minutes; he plans to emigrate to Australia the next day, despite having little money to take with him
Phaedra 15-29 - Troy's stepdaughter
Pea and Tanya 15-29- two local girls who like to party
Dawn 30-40- Johnny's ex-girlfriend and mother to his child, though she disapproves of his lifestyle; having spent some time with him she relapses and kisses him, but there is no reconciliation
Marky, 6-10, Johnny's young son
Wesley 40-60- the local pub landlord, he is involved in the festivities for St George's Day and has been roped in to doing the Morris Dancing
Linda Fawcett, 30's-40's, a county official
Luke Parsons, 30's-40's, a county official
Each performer will be allowed a maximum of 5 minutes to perform 1-2 contrasting monologues of their choice, or a monologue and song. Singers should be aware that an accompanist will not be available for this first audition, and are asked to accompany themselves or to sing a cappella. Callbacks for individual plays will be announced at a later date.
