In just three short years, Buddy Holly set the music world on fire and forever changed the face and sound of rock and roll. BUDDY - THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, the musical that charts his meteoric climb, legendary adventures and tragic fall on the fateful day the music died, will open the 2016 Musical season at Bill Hanney's award-winning Theatre By The Sea (TBTS), playing from June 1 thru June 19, 2016.

BUDDY - THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY follows the incredible journey of Buddy's meteoric rise to the top of the record charts during the golden days of rock 'n' roll in this dynamic tribute musical. Audiences will be cheering for more, with such rousing fifties favorites as "Peggy Sue," "Oh Boy," "Maybe Baby," "That'll Be the Day," "Raining In My Heart," Ritchie Valens' "La Bamba" and the Big Bopper's "Chantilly Lace." This joyous celebration of a musical legend has audiences on their feet in every corner of the globe and it will explode on the Theatre By The Sea stage in a toe-tapping, hand-clapping extravaganza!
The role of Buddy Holly will be played by Michael Siktberg. The cast will also include Annabella Barks, Maria Day (Vi Petty), Seth Eliser (Jerry Allison), JP Ferragamo (The Big Bopper), Steve Gagliastro (Norman Petty), Albert Jennings (Ritchie Valens), Cody Knable, Greg London (Hipockets Duncan), Sylvester McCracken III, Michael Perrie Jr, Danielle Marie Gonzalez-Quevedo, Beatriz Naranjo (Maria Elena), Christina Rose Rahn, Sam Sherwood (Joe B. Maudlin), Shayla Simmons, and Lamont Walker.

Once again, Theatre By The Sea's notorious Late Nite Cabaret will be performed by the cast and staff following every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening show. The cabaret is performed by the cast and theatre staff at Bistro By The Sea, the onsite restaurant at Theatre by The Sea. There is no cabaret on the first weekend of each show.
The 2016 Summer Musical Season will continue with West Side Story (June 22 - July 16), The Wizard of Oz (July 20 - August 13, and Sister Act (August 17 - September 4). The popular Friday morning Children's Festival includes Snow White (July 8), Lucky Bob (July 15), Disney's Alice In Wonderland Jr. (July 29), Aladdin (August 5), and Keith Michael Johnson's Bubbleology (August 12). All shows at 10am & 12 Noon and all tickets are $12.
