Theatre By The Sea owner and producer Bill Hanney, Producing Artistic Director Amiee Turner and Managing Producer Joel Kipper are proud to announce the opening of the Broadway smash hit The Full Monty sponsored by Meridian Printing on August 4.

Based on the international hit film, this grin and bare-it-all musical comedy winningly tells the story of a dispirited group of unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, NY, who are desperate to make some quick cash. Jerry, a divorced father behind in his child-support, convinces the gang to become male strippers for a one-night-only event at the local club. The Full Monty will have you cheering as they go all the way to conquer their fears and take charge of their lives. Music includes "Michael Jordan's Ball," "The Goods," and "Let It Go." Contains adult language and mature content.

Ocean State Theatre Company is thrilled welcome veteran director, Russell Garrett, who will be joined by music director Andrew Smithson and choreographer Chris Saunders, who music directed and choreographed last season's award-winning production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Managing Producer Joel Kipper, who made his Theatre By The Sea debut as George M. Cohan in George M! returns in the role of Malcolm, with Jean-Pierre Ferragamo, who starred as Pseudolus in the 2007 sneak preview production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, returning in the role of Dave Bukatinsky. TBTS alum Heidi Beckmann of Wakefield will portray Pam Lukowski, with Rhode Island College student Talia Triangolo of Providence and Ocean State Follies cast member Michael Johnson of North Providence in the roles of Joanie and the Minister. Youth performers Ryan Costa (11 years old) of Riverside and Andrew Horowitz (10 years old) of Rehoboth, MA, will share the role of Nathan Lukowski.

Audiences are invited to enhance their theatre experience by dining in the casual, contemporary and creative atmosphere of Bistro by the Sea, just a short stroll down the arbor walk adjacent to the theatre. Following selected performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, theatergoers can enjoy fun, food and drinks at the popular Late Night Cabaret with Sabrina Blaze.
