Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), is thrilled to announce the opening of their fourth season in their state-of-the-art theatre in Warwick. The company's 2015-16 season begins with the magnificently macabre musical comedy, The Addams Family, which opens tonight, September 30.

Sponsored by Charland, Marciano & Company, CPAs, LLP, the weird and wonderful family, known from cartoons in The New Yorker, a popular television sitcom and two hit movies, comes to the stage in an original story that is every father's nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, is all grown up and madly in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. And if that weren't upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change on the fateful night they host an eccentric dinner for Wednesday's boyfriend and his "normal" parents. With a hilarious script by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice and catchy music by Drama Desk Award-winner Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party), and dance numbers featuring the Addams' ancestors come to life, The Addams Family: The Musical is a devilish delight for the whole family!

Directed and choreographed by Producing Artistic Director Amiee Turner, with musical direction by Esther Zabinski, who music directed previous OSTC productions of Into the Woods, Meet Me in St. Louis, My Fair Lady, Miracle on 34th Street and RENT, the cast includes Steve Gagliastro of Worcester, who appeared in OSTC productions of ...Spelling Bee (William Barfee) and How to Succeed... (Twimble, Ovington, Wally Womper), returns as Gomez and Katie Anne Clark of Boston, who portrayed Adelaide in Guys and Dolls and Maggie Jones in 42nd Street with OSTC, will portray his wife Morticia. Kayla Tomas of Coral Springs, Florida will make her OSTC debut as Wednesday and Brody Karn, who has appeared in national tours of both Shrek The Musical and Seussical, will make his OSTC debut as Wednesday's boyfriend, Lucas. Fred Frabotta, who used to live in Apponaug, returns to Rhode Island, making his OSTC debut as Uncle Fester and 13 year old East Greenwich native Alexander LeBlanc, who was seen in OSTC productions of Meet Me in St. Louis and The King and I, returns in the role of Pugsley. Woonsocket's Connie Anderson, who directed and produced numerous shows for Theatre Works and Joseph Torello, who was recently seen as King Triton in The Little Mermaid at Theatre By The Sea, both make their OSTC debuts in the roles of Grandma and Lurch. The "normal parents," Mal and Alice, are being portrayed by Jason Loete and Jennifer Mischley, who were both seen at OSTC this summer in Gypsy. Other local performers include Chris Chianesi of Cranston, Taavon Gamble of Wakefield, Neil Jeronimo of Swansea, Andy McLeavey of South Kingstown, Victoria Nason of North Providence and Alison Russo of Pawtucket.
