Shaun Bedgood from Quincy, MA is the winner of the FIRST COMIC FOR NBC's LAST COMIC STANDING LIVE contest, which was held at the Comedy Connection Rhode Island in East Providence, RI on Monday, January 10. Bedgood won the chance to perform as the Warm-Up Act during NBC'S LAST COMIC STANDING TOUR stop at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium (VMA) this Thursday, January 13 at 7:30 PM. The VMA is located at 1 Avenue of the Arts in downtown Providence.
NBC 10's 7 PM team, Dan Jaehnig, Alison Bologna, and Mark Searles judged the contest.
The two runners-up were John Porch from North Providence, RI and Chris Tabb from Boston, MA.
NBC's LAST COMIC STANDING LIVE TOUR features the five finalists from the seventh season of NBC's Emmy-nominated Last Comic Standing: winner Felipe Esparza along with Tommy Johnagin, Roy Wood, Jr., Myq Kaplan, and Mike DeStefano.
Tickets for NBC's LAST COMIC STANDING LIVE TOUR are $36 (price includes a $2 per ticket facility fee) and can be purchased at the PPAC/VMA Box Office, located at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence, online at www.vmari.com or by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787). Regular Box Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 10A to 5P; Saturday, 10A to 2P and through curtain time(s) on performance days.
