Laugh 'til you cry when Alexander, King of Jesters performs his unusual and popular comedy, The Jester of Notre Dame, at Ocean State Theatre in Warwick today, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 am.

Looking like the joker in a deck of cards, Alexander's mischief and comedy is fun for the whole family! One moment, he's playing recorders in seemingly impossible ways. The next, he's juggling jingle bells, performing amazing stunts, jiggling his rubber body, or stunning the audience with his wild sight gags. It all adds up to guaranteed fun!

Throughout his performance, Alexander speaks in a crazy gibberish language called "grammelot," which consists of a few real words from different languages and lots of nonsense sounds in between. It could cut through the many language barriers that existed back in the days of isolated villages and hamlets, when numerous languages were spoken. Since Alexander performs in regions where English isn't spoken, including Mexico, Italy, Singapore, France, Belgium, Puerto Rico, Quebec, and China (nine tours), "grammelot" still works well to eliminate language barriers.

Alexander has been featured on Showtime, PBS and "America's Got Talent," and has performed in theaters from Alaska to Australia. This past spring, the U.S. State Department sponsored his act in Russia as a 'cultural ambassador.' When he appeared on the "Good Day Show," he was introduced as "one of the best one-man acts that we've ever seen. He's had our studio in stitches!" Boston Magazine said that "he can make the stiffest of stiffs laugh."

Take an inspiring journey to medieval times and enter the world of the Wise Fool with Alexander, King of Jesters!

Before and after the performance, families can enjoy drinks and snacks, which will be available for purchase at the theatre's lobby concession stand.
