Burbage Theatre Company continues their sixth season with the Rhode Island Premiere of 'The Flu Season' by Will Eno, directed by Wendy Overly, which opens tonight-and BroadwayWorld has the first look at the production!

The Flu Season runs Now - December 3 at Aurora Providence, 276 Westminster Street, Providence RI. Tickets are $10-$20. Visit www.burbagetheatre.org to purchase tickets.

Two hospital patients fall in love in a play written before the audience's eyes. Lovers and storytellers cope with the expectations and disappointments of art and humanity in this masterfully spun play about the creative process and life itself. Will Eno puts his poetic language and enigmatic characters to good use, leading the audience to simple, poignant, and necessary truths.

"Will Eno builds immensely intricate relationships in the most inexplicably simple ways," says Artistic Director Jeff Church, "His narrative is fractured. His train of thought is, at once, unpredictable and yet uncannily familiar. He holds the mirror up to nature, but the mirror is a little warped, slightly distorted.

"Aside from its metatheatrics, which are plentiful and a focus of this production," says Church, "The Flu Season is rife with truths that will resonate deeply and inexplicably in all of us, which makes it a perfect production for director Wendy Overly. Wendy's graceful and heartfelt direction is a perfect match for a play that enigmatically traverses elation, confusion, and calamity."
