Ocean State Theatre Company is honored to partner with the Rhode Island Community Food Bank for their annual benefit concert featuring award-winning musicians Billy Harley and Keith Munslow. Sing Away Hunger will be presented as part of OSTC's 2016-17 Family Fun Fest on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Join Grammy Award winner Bill Harley and Parents' Choice winner Keith Munslow, along with a talented group of their friends, for a fun and frolicking family concert to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Each year, Bill and Keith delight children with their hilarious songs and stories, which will tickle the funny bone of all ages. Over 59,000 people rely on the Food Bank's network of food pantries and meal sites to feed their families. One in three is a child under the age of 18. Thanks to the generosity of the musicians donating their time and talent, all proceeds will benefit the Food Bank in providing food assistance to neighbors in need.

A two-time Grammy award-winning artist and recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the RI Council for the Humanities, Bill Harley uses song and story to paint a vibrant and hilarious picture of growing up, schooling and family life. His work spans the generation gap, reminds us of our common humanity and challenges us to be our very best selves. A prolific author and recording artist, Bill tours nationwide as an author, performing artist, and keynote speaker.

Keith Munslow is known for his fun, funky music, lightning-fast cartooning, and hilarious stories, which have the grown-ups laughing as much as the kids! He has entertained thousands of children and adults at festivals, concerts, schools and libraries throughout New England - and beyond. He has recorded numerous CDs for children and families, including Accidentally On Purpose and Dressed Up For The Party, both of which garnered Parents' Choice Awards. He recently released his eighth CD, Big Buncha Buddies with Bridget Brewer.

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank distributes food to over 59,000 struggling Rhode Islanders each month through a statewide network of 167 member agencies including food pantries, meal sites, shelters, youth programs and senior centers. The Food Bank solicits food donations from the public and from the food industry, including supermarkets, food manufacturers and growers. To keep up with the high demand for food assistance, the Food Bank also purchases food at low cost from wholesalers. In 2015, the Food Bank distributed 9.7 million pounds of food. The Food Bank is a member of Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization. For more information, visit www.rifoodbank.org.

Before and after the performance, families can enjoy drinks and snacks, which will be available for purchase at the theatre's lobby concession stand.
