Ocean State Theatre Company, the producing entity at the historic Theatre By The Sea, has announced that Amtrak will be sponsoring their production of The 39 Steps at Theatre By The Sea, which will be running from September 8-18, 2011.

The generous contribution received from Amtrak will assist in sustaining Ocean State Theatre Company's mission to present high-quality programming at the Rhode Island landmark.
"Last year, Amtrak came on board to sponsor our first annual fundraiser, Beyond the Sea," said Amiee Turner, president of Ocean State Theatre Company. "We are thrilled to have them back and truly appreciate their recognition of the importance of supporting arts in the community."

The 39 Steps will be presented at Theatre By The Sea from September 8 - 18, with a preview performance on Thursday, September 8 at 7:30 pm and opening night on Friday, September 9 at 8:00 pm. Remaining performances are scheduled for Saturday, September 10 at 2:00 and 8:00 pm, Sunday, September 11 at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 14 at 7:30 pm, Thursday, September 15 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm, Friday, September 16 at 8:00 pm, Saturday, September 17 at 2:00 and 8:00 and Sunday, September 18 at 2:00 pm. The theatre is located at 364 Cards Pond Road, Matunuck, RI. Tickets are $30 for preview performances and $34-$44 for all other performances. Discount rates for groups of 20 or more are available by calling (401) 782-3800 x18. Rush tickets are available on a limited basis one hour prior to curtain on the day of the performance.
Tickets are on sale at the box office Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, online anytime at www.theatrebythesea.com and via telephone during normal box office hours by calling (401) 782-TKTS (8587). The box office will also be open one hour prior to every performance
