Photo Flash: Granite Theatre Presents David Auburn's PROOF

"Proof" by David Auburn is opening April 27 at the Granite Theatre. "Proof" is an intriguing play that asks the question - can madness be inherited? Can genius? Producer/ Artistic Director for the theatre is David Jepson. The show runs April - May 12, 2018

Catherine has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, Robert. When he dies she has more than grief to deal with: there's her estranged sister, Claire, and Hal, a former student of her fathers who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that Robert left behind. And a further problem: how much of her father's madness or genius will Catherine inherit? Mary-Louise Parker starred in this Pulitzer Prize-winning play in the original production at the Manhattan Theatre Club.

David Jepson (Westerly, RI) directs the show. The show features Ricci Mann (Cranston, RI), David Jepson (Westerly, RI), Nick Perry (Uncasville, CT) and Michelle Mania (Charlestown, RI).

Patrons may enjoy a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks from the theatre's cash bar at all performances in the comfortable, spacious lobby of the beautifully refurbished, historic theatre. Opening nights of each new production feature an opportunity to share "Pizza with the Cast" and mixer of patrons and performers.

"Proof" opens April 27, 2018 at The Granite. Performances are Thursday through Saturday Evenings at 8 pm and Sunday Matinees at 2 pm except Thursday May 3 and Sunday May 13. Tickets for this show are $20, 62 and older is $17 and children (12 and under) are $12.
