Providence Mayor Angel Taveras officially dedicated the new PPAC Square during a brief ceremony in front of the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) this morning. PPAC Board of Trustees Chairman Joseph W. Walsh, Esq. introduced Mayor Taveras and said the following, “PPAC is very grateful to Mayor Taveras for his strong leadership in bringing this project to fruition for all to enjoy. We’d also like to thank the City of Providence – Department of Public Works, Cardi Corporation, Cataldo Associates, and Beta Engineering, Inc. for the support, time, labor, and resources that they devoted to create this new, beautiful PPAC Square.”
Mayor Taveras said, “[PPAC Square] is a signature spot, not only in our city, but in our state. This is a great example of government and private sector coming together to make something positive happen. Better days are ahead for our city and for our state.”Videos
