PPAC Announces That Most Of Its 2009-2010 Season Shows Go On Sale 7/27

J.L. "Lynn" Singleton, President of the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), is pleased to announce that the majority of productions featured in the Broadway Series (excluding WICKED and JERSEY BOYS; on-sale dates for these shows will be announced), the Inskip Lexus Contemporary Classics Series, and Broadway, holiday and contemporary specials go on sale Monday, July 27 at 10A.

Patrons may purchase tickets for the following shows in the Broadway Series: AVENUE Q (October 20-25, 2009; for mature audiences only; contains adult situations and language), XANADU (February 16-21, 2010), and THE 101 DALMATIANS MUSICAL (March 16-21, 2010).

Tickets are available for all shows in the Inskip Lexus Contemporary Classics Series, which includes the NETworks presentation of DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (February 9-14, 2010), RAIN: A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES (November 27-29, 2009), and A BRONX TALE (April 16-18, 2010), starring Chazz Palminteri. The box office is also selling tickets for the Broadway special RENT (November 17-22, 2009), featuring original Broadway stars Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, pianist Jim Brickman's holiday concert (November 13, 2009 at 8P), FESTIVAL BALLET'S "THE NUTCRACKER" (December 11-13, 2009), Ben Folds with THE RHODE ISLAND PHILHARMONIC POPS, conducted by FRANCISCO NOYA (October 10, 2009 at 8P), and celebrity chef and author ANTHONY BOURDAIN (January 23, 2010 at 8P).

Tickets are available for purchase at www.ppacri.org, by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787), or at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence. Summer Box Hours are Monday-Thursday, 10A-3P and are in effect until Thursday, September 3. Regular Box Office hours resume Tuesday, September 8 and are Monday-Friday, 10A-5P; Saturday 10A-2P and through curtain time(s) on show days. PPAC offers military discounts in person, by phone, and online for all performances;
for further details, call (401) 421-ARTS. Discounted admission is available for groups of 20 or more. 
Tickets are also currently on sale for THE NEW MEL BROOKS MUSICAL YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (September 29-October 4, 2009) and the STEVE MILLER BAND (November 8, 2009 at 7:30P). Patrons are encouraged to order early for the best selection of seats for all of PPAC's performances.
