Professional Facilities Management (PFM) is pleased to announce that the majority of productions presented by PFM during the 2010/2011 season at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium (VMA) will go on sale Monday, July 26 at 10A. Please note that AN EVENING WITH JETHRO TULL'S IAN ANDERSON and Byron Stripling & A TRIBUTE TO Louis Armstrong with the RI Phiharmonic POPS are excluded from this date; on-sale dates for these shows will be announced.
Tickets for PFM-presented shows are available for purchase at the PPAC/VMA Box Office at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence, online at www.vmari.com or at (401) 421-ARTS (2787). Summer Box Office Hours are now in effect and are Monday through Thursday, 10A to 3P. During the season, Box Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 10A to 5P and Saturday, 10A to 2P. The VMA on-site Box Office, located at 1 Avenue of the Arts in Providence, will only be open on performance days; please call (401) 421-ARTS (2787) in advance for specific hours. Please note that dates, programs, and artists are subject to change; ticket prices for all VMA performances include a $2 per ticket facility fee.

Victoria Stilwell from Animal Planet's It's Me or the Dog will be at the VMA on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 7:30P. By working with family pets and local shelter dogs live onstage, Victoria will take the audience on a journey designed to ensure that you and your pet develop a relationship based on mutual trust, respect, and love. This lighthearted family event will also feature exclusive behind-the-scenes scoop and outtakes from It's Me or the Dog, audience participation, and the chance to have Victoria solve your own doggie dilemmas live onstage. Tickets are $45, $35, and $25 and go on sale Monday, July 26.

National Treasure" by First Lady
Michelle Obama. The Fort Worth Telegram said, "This ensemble is the gold standard . . . their voices are fabulous." As part of their program, Sweet Honey In The Rock® will perform "Indaba," a musical dialogue between youth and their elders, with the Providence Singers. Sweet Honey In The Rock® is presented through the Veterans Memorial Auditorium/FirstWorks Partnership. Tickets are $42, $32, and $18 and are on sale now.
Internationally-acclaimed medium and clairvoyant Lisa Williams will return to Providence on Monday, November 15 at 7:30P. Born in England, Williams was discovered by
Merv Griffin and was introduced to audiences through two seasons of her own hit show Lisa Williams, Life Among the Dead. Her second series, Voices from the Other Side, premiered on the
Lifetime Television Network in October 2008. Williams has appeared on Good Morning America, Oprah, and The
Jimmy Kimmel Show. In addition to her readings in front of large audiences, Williams does personal readings and is a trained Reiki and Crystal Healer. Tickets are $77, $53, and $33 and go on sale Monday, July 26, 2010.
Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson comes to the VMA on Sunday, November 21 at 7:30P with more goodies from the Tull back catalogue, featuring many of the acoustic tracks from the early albums as well as some new solo material specially written for these shows. Joining Anderson are wunderkind Florian Opahle on guitars,

The finalists from the seventh season of NBC's Last Comic Standing will perform live as the Last Comic Standing Live Tour appears at the VMA on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 7:30P. Tickets for LAST COMIC STANDING are $36 and go on sale Monday, July 26.
The VMA hosts GIRLS NIGHT: THE MUSICAL on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 8P. The show follows five friends on a wild and hilarious karaoke night. The group includes : Carol who was born to party, blunt Anita who says it like it is, Liza and her 'issues,' Kate the Great (Designated Driver), and Sharon, the not-so-angelic angel who couldn't resist tagging along! Louis Armstrong on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 8P, as part of the POPS-PHIL-PPAC Series at the VMA. The New York Times says, "Mr. Stripling is a powerful trumpeter, at ease with the most complicated and detailed bebop lines and an open-armed Armstrong swagger" and the Los Angeles Times describes Stripling as "impassioned, high-powered."
