The Providence Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce that Anthony Bourdain, chef and author of the New York Times bestselling memoir and restaurant exposé Kitchen Confidential, will make his first appearance at the Theatre on Saturday, January 23 at 8P. For one night only, Bourdain will share the fascinating, hilarious, and sometimes shocking stories behind his life, books, travels, and his Emmy-nominated Travel Channel TV Show Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.

A limited number of VIP Tickets are available at $100. VIP ticket holders will be admitted to a post-show Meet and Greet and book signing with Anthony Bourdain; please call the PPAC Box Office at (401) 421-ARTS (2787) to inquire about VIP tickets.

Bourdain is executive chef at New York's famed bistro Les Halles. His book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly has been translated into over 28 languages. Bourdain's book, A Cook's Tour, published in conjunction with his series on the Food Network, was also a bestseller in the U.S. and the U.K. and won the 2002 Guild of Food Writers Award for Food Book of the Year.

His other books are Anthony Bourdain's Les Halles Cookbook, The Nasty Bits, and No Reservations: Around the World on an Empty Stomach. His crime novels include The Bobby Gold Stories and Bone in the Throat. He is currently working on three new books, including a follow-up to Kitchen Confidential, a crime novel titled No New Messages, and a memoir about moving his family to a small village in Vietnam.

Bourdain is a contributing authority for Food Arts magazine and his work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Gourmet. He has shared his insights about team building and crisis management with the Harvard Business Review. He has also been profiled by CBS's "Sunday Morning" and "Nightline" and appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman."
