Mixed Magic Theatre Adds Two Performances of a Dramatic Reading of MLK's Birmingham Letter Image

Mixed Magic Theatre has added two performances of a dramatic reading of
Dr. Martin Luther King's letter from Birmingham City Jail, directed by Ricardo Pitts-Wiley on Saturday, January 27th at 7:30 PM and Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 PM.

Only audience celebrated the MLK Holiday at Mixed Magic Theatre's critically acclaimed dramatic reading of Martin Luther King's LETTER FROM BIRMINGHAM CITY JAIL. The work is a call for non-violent protest, against injustice and intolerance. "LETTER " is great literature, and a look into the soul of a man and a country, and is as relevant today as it was when it was written in 1963.

Equal parts blistering and compassionate, this seminal text of the Civil Rights Movement is brought to life by five gifted performers: Yakim Parker, Charmaine Gray, Jacquan Stanley, Melody Vasquez, and, on guitar and vocals, Kim Trusty.

This is a presentation for all people and all ages. The post-show talk back, continues as one of Mixed Magic Theatre's main goals - to use the theatre to promote passionate and meaningful conversations.Make your reservation today, as seating is limited for these performances.
