Jordan's Furniture Underwrites OSTC's Family Fun Fest

Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), which will be opening its fifth season later this month, in its comfortable stadium-style theatre in Warwick, has announced that Jordan's Furniture will once again be supporting OSTC's 2016-17 Family Fun Fest as a Community Outreach Partner. The partnership will help underserved and underprivileged children enjoy a shared family experience through underwritten ticket opportunities to performances of OSTC's popular children's series.

Philanthropy has always been an important part of the business philosophy at Jordan's Furniture, the New England based furniture retailer, which opened its sixth location at the Warwick Mall in December 2011. From the beginning, when brothers Barry and Eliot were working for the family business, until now, with Eliot still at the helm, community outreach has been part of the plan.

"Jordan's Furniture is proud to support the OSTC's Family Fun Fest and families throughout Rhode Island," said Eliot Tatelman, President and CEO of Jordan's Furniture. "As a leader in the community, it is important to us to support children and families who are underserved and through this partnership, Jordan's is able to provide an experience to children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend the theatre. It is something that the whole family can enjoy together."

The generous contribution received from Jordan's Furniture is being used to offer families, through the Head Start and Foster Care programs, the opportunity to attend a live theatrical experience.

OSTC's Family Fun Fest features a variety of performances, which are held on select Saturday mornings from October through June. This year's performances include, Airborne Jugglers, Sing Away Hunger featuring Bill Harley and Keith Munslow, Pirate School, Keith Michael Johnson's Bubbleology, Bruce Kalver's Magical Moments and OSTC4Kids productions of Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Me, Myself and Three, and Thunder and Potatoes.

Family Fun Fest performances will be held on select Saturday mornings at 11:00 am at Ocean State Theatre located at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI. Single tickets are $10.00 each with packages of three shows or more for $8.00 per ticket. Discount rates are also available for groups of 20 or more by calling (401) 921-1777 x112. Tickets are on sale at the box office Monday through Friday from 12 noon - 6:00 pm, Saturdays from 12 noon - 4:00 pm, and from 12 noon until curtain time on performance days.
