The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre board of directors invites arts supporters to the theater's 12th annual fundraising party, on Monday, January 27 at 6 p.m. at the Providence Biltmore, 11 Dorrance St. Celebrate the work of The Gamm Theatre by joining The Gamm for this special evening, and see Sam Babbitt - the man who has been synonymous with The Gamm for two decades - reprise a piece from his 2004 tour de force performance of William Luce's Barrymore.
With Gamm Artistic Director Tony Estrella serving as master of ceremonies, the event promises to be one of the most memorable and meaningful in the theater's history.
"The Gamm will be celebrating its 30th year in operation in 2014. Sam has been the MVP for more than 20 of those, and it has been his leadership both off the stage as a long-time board president and on the boards as an actor of extraordinary range and ability that has transformed the theater to a fully professional regional company and recognized leader in the Rhode Island arts community," Estrella said. "Despite Sam and his wife, Natalie, having moved to New Haven recently, he remains a vital force in The Gamm's future. Play it Again, Sam! will honor the incredible accomplishments of this great man and remind us what a sterling stage presence he continues to be. If you are a Gamm fan, you are a Sam fan. We hope you'll join us in celebrating both and ensuring that Sam's vision marches on."Videos
