The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) and Mills Entertainment are proud to present GIRLS NIGHT: THE MUSICAL at The Veterans Memorial Auditorium (VMA) on Friday, February 18 at 8P. The VMA is located at 1 Avenue of the Arts in downtown Providence. The Advocate says GIRLS NIGHT is "as funny and outrageous as Sex and the City," while Applause Magazine says it's "'Desperate Housewives' meets Mamma Mia!"
GIRLS NIGHT: THE MUSICAL is the story of five girlfriends in their 30s and 40s as they embark on a wild and outrageous night at the karaoke bar. The lifelong friends have experienced heartache, tragedy, joy and success. These girls include Carol the party girl, blunt Anita who tells it like it is, Liza with her marital (and eating) issues, boring Kate the designated driver and Sharon, the not-so-angelic angel who just couldn't resist tagging along. Together, these five women reminisce about their younger days and celebrate their lives today. The show includes every girl's classic karaoke favorites, such as "It's Raining Men," "I Will Survive," "Lady Marmalade," "Man I Feel Like a Woman," and "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."
So get the girls together for an unforgettable "funny and refreshing" (Capitol Times) night that will have you laughing and dancing in the aisles! Written by Louise Roche and directed by Jack Randle, GIRLS NIGHT: THE MUSICAL stars Kerrin Clark, Laurie Gardner, Leslie McQueen, Tina Mallon, and Meggan Utech.
