Ocean State Theatre Company has announced the stage debut of their recently formed OSTeenCo, which was created to provide an opportunity for teen actors to benefit from a professional theatre experience, culminating in the performance of two productions, which are part of OSTC's 2014-15 Family Fun Fest. The debut production, Freckleface Strawberry The Musical, will be presented for one performance only today, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 am.
Freckleface Strawberry will do anything to get rid of her freckles - from scrubbing them with soap, to caking on makeup, and even wearing a ski mask to school! In this fun and touching family musical, based on the beloved New York Times Best Selling book by Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore, Freckleface Strawberry must learn to love her freckles and herself. With the help of her loveable schoolmates, Freckleface learns that everyone is different - and that's what makes everyone special!
Directed by Managing Director Robert Miller Jr., with choreography by Karen Gail Kessler, this high-energy infectious musical features the talents of the 2014-15 OSTeenCo, which includes Connor Buonaccorsi and Victoria Soucy of Cranston, Sarah Dube of Cumberland, Kate Fitzgerald, Rebecca Malachowski, Abigail McMahon, and Jimmy Truslow of Warwick, and Lauren Vine of East Providence, with a special guest appearance by OSTC's properties master, Christopher Lussier.
Freckleface Strawberry will be presented on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 am. The theatre is located at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI.
