"This iconic novel means so much to so many people," said Director and Epic Artistic Director Kevin Broccoli, "It's almost become a fairy tale. I knew we had to include it in our Page-to-Stage season, but I didn't want to just rehash it. The idea of doing it as a prom in the spirit of The Donkey Show came to me, and after getting Emily Parker's wonderful adaptation of the book, we were able to do with it what we did with Tartuffe last summer-discover the relevance of it without taking away from the built-in humor and beautiful language of Jane Austen along with music from local artists."
Broccoli directs a cast that includes Stephanie Traversa, Sam Ojih, Sandy Cerel, Rebecca Maxfield, Ian Hudgins, Lexie Lankiewicz, Surrey Houlker, Stevie Smith, Emma Sacchetti, Ashley Moore, Meg Taylor-Roth, Christine Pavao, Dan Fisher, Michael Petrarca, Vanessa Blanchette, and Mary Paolino
