Following last season's scandalous and sensational, "The Boys of St. Matthews Present Jesus Christ! And Other Christmas Tales," Epic Theatre Company has tapped local actor, writer, and songstress Aaron Blanck to bring his acclaimed holiday album "A Christmas to Forget" to the stage in a one-of-a-kind Yuletide festival of music and mayhem.
"Aaron is an incredible talent and also certifiably out of his mind," says Epic Artistic Director Kevin Broccoli, "His Christmas album is a gem, and when the opportunity arose to set him loose on the Epic stage, I couldn't turn it down. I honestly have no idea what's going to happen. I keep hearing rumblings about choreography and Judy Garland, but I'd just rather not know. In fact, I've booked a lovely trip to Toronto for the duration of the run, and I'm just hoping there's still a theater there when I come back."
From Aaron: Finally free of the shackles of linear story-telling, Aaron Blanck is ready to lead his own holiday extravaganza. But when his selfish insistence on doing a one man show while eleven other people try and perform with him causes grave consequences, will Aaron Be able to learn to the true meaning of the holidays in time to stop the bomb from destroying everything he loves? Just kidding about the bomb, it's really just a biting musical romp filled with satire and fun!
"A Christmas to Forget" will enjoy a very, very limited run at the Artists' Exchange in Cranston, Rhode Island, located at 50 Rolfe Square from November 29th - December 8th.
