Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), currently celebrating its third season in its new state-of-the-art theatre in Warwick will present Frederick Knott's intense and gripping thriller, Dial M for Murder. This brilliant dark tale, with furnishings provided by OSTC's "Partner in Design," Ethan Allen, and additional support provided by Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness, will enjoy a limited run at Ocean State Theatre from tonight, October 29 - November 16.

Originally written for the stage, this edge-of-your-seat drama was later made famous by the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, who turned it into a cinematic masterpiece. The plot revolves around Tony Wendice who married his wife, Margot, for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. He arranges the perfect murder. He blackmails a scoundrel he used to know, into killing her for a fee and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself. Unfortunately... the murderer gets murdered and the victim survives. But this doesn't stop the husband. He sees his hireling's death as an opportunity to have his wife convicted for the murder of the man who tried to murder her! With a killer dead and a victim in jail, will the police inspector discover the truth? Will the husband be revealed? This murder thriller will keep you spellbound with suspense!

Directed by Producing Artistic Director Amiee Turner, who recently directed the company's season opener, My Fair Lady, the cast includes award-winning (Elliot Norton/IRNE) actress, Aimee Doherty, who recently appeared in Into the Woods (Lyric Stage) and Clybourne Park (New Century Theatre) and is a rotating cast member of Shear Madness in Boston. Ms. Doherty will be making her Rhode Island stage debut as Margot Wendice. Bill Mootos, whose recent area appearances include Absence (Boston Playwrights' Theatre) and Good People (The Gamm), will be making his OSTC debut as Max Halliday. New York's Drew Anthony Allen, whose film and television credits include The Vampire Diaries, Investigation Discovery, and The Dumping Fields will also be making his OSTC debut in the role of Tony Wendice. Cranston's Rudy Sanda, who appeared as Mr. Kraler in last season's production of The Diary of Anne Frank, returns in the role of Captain Lesgate and Brandon Whitehead, who recently moved to Massachusetts after 20 years on the west coast, makes his OSTC debut as Inspector Hubbard. Rounding out the cast is Jonathan Fisher, who will be making his professional theatre debut in the role of Thompson.
