The Daydream Theatre Company of Providence, RI is proud to announce its fall 2011 production entitled "BETH". While Daydream Theatre Company's Producer, Jim Belanger, and Director, Lenny Schwartz, usually prepare plays written by Schwartz, they decided to showcase someone else's work this fall. The play "BETH" is written by NYC Producer and playwright, Michael Roderick. This will be a World Premiere of "BETH" for Roderick.

As Founder and Artistic Director of Small Pond Enterprises, LLC, Roderick has produced over 50 shows since his arrival in NYC in September 2002. Roderick also founded The Independent Producers Alliance of NY, and PLAE - Program For Launching Arts Entrepreneurs. He was an associate producer of "ROOMS: A Rock Romance" Off-Broadway and a producer with R2D2 Productions on the Broadway production of "The Scottsboro Boys". He holds a BA from Rhode Island College as well as an MA from BYU. He blogs daily about theater-related issues at

"BETH" is a modern-day take on themes from Shakespeare's "MacBeth". It is a brutal tale involving the faculty and administration of a private, metropolitan high school. "It will have blood, they say; blood will have blood" (MacBeth, Act III, scene iv). Murder, mystery, conspiracy, mis-placed loyalty as well as other Shakespearean underpinnings will be in the show as well. "But this is not just a quick re-write of the original Shakespeare," says Director Schwartz. "I plan on focusing on the psychological aspect of the characters". Daydream Theatre Company will present "Beth" at the Bell Street Chapel in Providence on November 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 2011.

All shows begin at 8pm. Tickets are $10, $5 for Seniors and Students. "The last weekend is always a complete sell-out", says Schwartz. Tickets will be available on smarttix.com. For more information about The Daydream Theatre Company visit www.daydreamtheatre.com.
