Courthouse Center for the Arts Announces FAME 8/13-23 Join students as they go through 4 years of vigorous training at NY's prestigious Performing Arts High School. Tickets are $24 for Adults, $20 for Seniors/CCA Members, and $15 Students. Visit www.courthousearts.org or call (401) 782-1018 for more information or to purchase tickets.

Fame is a bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work at the Performing Arts high school in New York. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today: issues of prejudice, identity, self-worth, literacy, sexuality, substance abuse and perseverance. Join these teens as they do "Hard Work," "Dance on the Sidewalk," and strive to "live forever."

Fame: The Musical is based off the hit movie phenomena of the 1980s and spin-off television show. It was a winner of the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Choreographer and Best New Musical in 1995.

Fame will be presented August 13th - 23rd, with performances on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 4pm. Tickets are $24 for Adults, $20 for Seniors/CCA Members, and $15 for Students. To purchase tickets or for more information visit www.courthousearts.org or call (401) 782-1018.
