"From the far horizons of the unknown come transcribed tales of new dimensions in time and space. These are stories of the future; adventures in which you'll live in a million could-be years on a thousand may-be worlds."
Counter-Productions Theatre Company has announcde their fourth installment of live science fiction tales adapted from the 1950's radio program, X Minus One. The presentation will feature four short sci-fi plays adapted and directed by local directors Rufus Qristofer Teixeira, Erin Archer, Billy Flynn, and Laura Minadeo. The plays "Junkyard" by Clifford D. Simak, "Perigi's Wonderful Dolls" by George Lefferts, "Skulking Permit" by Robert Sheckley, and "Zero Hour" by Ray Bradbury will be presented by the company at 95 Empire at AS220 in Providence, RI.
The company has produced an evening of sci-fi short plays every other season, starting in 2008. The tradition has provided them an opportunity to explore a genre that is generally uncommon in live theatre. They are thrilled to bring this biennial event to their new home in beautiful downtown Providence.
The show dates are Nov. 7,8,14,15 at 7:00 and Nov. 9 & 16 at 2:00.
