Coastway Community Bank Sponsors 'YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN' Tour Launch At PPAC, Plays 9/29-10/4

J.L. "Lynn" Singleton, President of the Providence Performing Arts Center, is pleased to announce that Cranston-based Coastway Community Bank will sponsor THE NEW Mel Brooks MUSICAL YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, which launches its National Tour at PPAC from Tuesday, September 29 through Sunday, October 4, 2009.

Singleton said, "PPAC is very grateful for Coastway's sponsorship of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. I personally admire Coastway's commitment to supporting local businesses and its passion for everything Rhode Island."

Tickets are on sale now for THE NEW Mel Brooks MUSICAL YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN and can be purchased online at www.ppacri.org, by phone at (401) 421-ARTS, or in person at the PPAC Box Office at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence. Summer Box Office Hours are Monday through Thursday, 10A-3P and are in effect until Thursday, September 3. Regular Box Office Hours will resume Tuesday, September 8 and are Monday through Friday, 10A-3P; Saturday 10A-2P, and through curtain time(s) on show days. Scheduled performance times for THE NEW Mel Brooks MUSICAL YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN are Tuesday, September 29 at 7P; Wednesday, September 30 at 7:30P; Thursday, October 1 at 7:30P; Friday, October 2 at 8P; Saturday, October 3 at 2P & 8P; and Sunday, October 4 at 1:30P & 6:30P. Ticket prices for the Friday & Saturday evening performances and Saturday & Sunday matinees are as follows: $78, $68, $63, and $53; all other shows are $73, $63, $58, and $48. All ticket prices include a $3 per ticket restoration charge.

The Providence Performing Arts Center is a historic theatre building. At its inception in October 1928, the theatre was a Loew's movie palace. Over the years, it underwent various name changes until it was renamed the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) in 1982. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, PPAC currently presents top-flight touring Broadway productions, family shows, concerts, and more.
