Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), currently celebrating its fifth season in its comfortable stadium-style theatre in Warwick, will present Celebrating Andrew Lloyd Webber, a benefit concert to support OSTC's Live Music Initiative, for one performance only on Sunday, April 2, 2017.

The benefit concert will reunite exceptional vocalists, who have appeared in one or more of the 39 productions OSTC has produced in Warwick since December 2012. The concert will feature selections from Aspects of Love, CATS, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Phantom of the Opera, School of Rock, Song and Dance, Starlight Express, Sunset Boulevard, and more.

Performers scheduled to appear include Matt Gibson (Damn Yankees), Lara Hayhurst (Born Yesterday), Tess Jonas (Billy Elliot: The Musical, White Christmas: The Musical, Little Women: The Musical) Tommy Labanaris (LES MISERABLES, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, The Diary of Anne Frank, Into the Woods, Gypsy, 1776, Avenue Q, Billy Elliot: The Musical, Little Women: The Musical), Kevin PatRick Martin (Legally Blonde: The Musical, LES MISERABLES, 1776, 42nd Street, Little Women: The Musical), Sarah Pothier (Meet Me in St. Louis, 1776), Fredric S. Scheff (LES MISERABLES, 1776), Kristin Wetherington (Gypsy, The Miracle Worker) and Stefani Wood (It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas: The Musical).

Although many theatres across the country have replaced their musicians with recordings in order to cut costs, OSTC firmly believes that live musicians enhance the audience's experience, when attending a musical production. Ocean State Theatre Company established its Live Music Initiative in 2008 in order to support the $80,000 annual cost of continuing the tradition of professional musicians playing live during all musical theatre performances. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the initiative.

Celebrating Andrew Lloyd Webber will be presented on Sunday, April 2 at 7:30 pm. The theatre is located at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI. Tickets are $39. OSTC 2016-17 Season Subscribers qualify for a $5 discount for each ticket ordered at the box office or over the phone (Discount not available online.) Tickets are on sale at the box office Monday through Friday from 12 noon - 6:00 pm, Saturdays from 12 noon - 4:00 pm, and from 12 noon until curtain on performance days. Tickets are also available online 24 hours a day at www.OceanStateTheatre.org and via telephone during normal box office hours by calling (401) 921-6800.
