Reservations for the memorial performance celebrating the life of former Theatre By The Sea producer Tommy Brent, are now being accepted. The general admission seating passes can be reserved online at www.theatrebythesea.com, on the phone by calling (401) 782-TKTS (8587) or in person during normal box office hours. Each individual patron will be limited to four passes.
The event, entitled SONGS ON THE SAND: A Broadway Concert Celebrating Tommy Brent, will take place at Theatre By The Sea on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 7:00 pm, with doors opening at 6:15 pm.

Michael McGrath are leading the efforts on SONGS ON THE SAND: A Broadway Concert Celebrating
Tommy Brent with the support of Mr. Brent's family and in co-operation with Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC), the not-for-profit producing entity at Theatre By The Sea. During his years at Theatre By The Sea, Mr. Brent helped many artists get their start in the business. To honor his legacy, Mr. Brent's family has requested that all attendees consider making a contribution to OSTC through the "
Tommy Brent Memorial Fund," which will establish an annual arts scholarship, as well as the underwriting of one internship position.
Mr. Barton (
Forbidden Broadway, Zorba, Cabaret, City Of Angels, Camelot with
Robert Goulet, HBO's Cathouse The Musical) and Mr. McGrath (My Favorite Year, Goodbye Girl, Little Me, Wonderful Town, Spamalot (Tony® Nominee), Memphis, Born Yesterday) have been working with other alumni to produce the memorial concert.
