Get in the spirit of the Halloween season by attending the original zombie musical, Menace of the Morgue, written and directed by Cranston native John McKenna and presented by the Marley Bridges Theatre Company in collaboration with Artists' Exchange.

Menace of the Morgue is a campy rock 'n' roll, multi-media love poem paying homage to 1960s psychedelic horror cinema. Performances are every Friday and Saturday in October at 8:00 PM, October 4-26, 2013, at Theatre 82 (82 Rolfe Square, Cranston, RI 02910). Advance tickets are $15 and can be purchased online, by phone, or in person at Artists' Exchange; tickets at door are $18.

The peace between humans and zombies is tenuous. The technology they use to communicate is awkward. An innocent teen, daughter of a famous scientist, falls for a boy from the wrong side of the grave. Lust, drugs, gore, bigotry, and wrong science fill this high-energy show that is perfect for the Halloween season and theater enthusiasts.

The shorter, family-friendly variation, titled Doctor Menace's Family Variety Hour of Zombies, has matinee performances every Sunday in October at 1:00 and 3:00 PM, October 6-27, 2013, at Theatre 82. Tickets are $10 in advance and $14 at the door.
