Prepare for the March Madness with Artists' Exchange's Spring Murder Mystery, March Masterpiece Madness, an original production proudly presented this March 20-28 at Theatre 82 in Cranston. Interrogate suspects, dissect clues, and solve the crime in this interactive whodunit filled with colorful characters, fast-paced action, live music, humor, and intrigue. Show is set in modern day at the final showdown of the "March Masterpiece Madness" (MMM), a month-long art-sport competition challenging Rhode Island artists to "just create it." Contest is hosted by the "CAA," Cranston ARThletics Association, a community organization where Art-meets-Athletics. Thirty two original artists have been whittled down to the 'Sweet Sixteen,' to the 'Elite Eight,' and now to the 'Final Four' - each vying for the $60,000 cash prize and permanent exhibition in Rhode Island. Who will be crowned as Champion? Cheer for your favorite artist and keep your eyes and ears open for unsportsmanlike behavior, foul play, rivalries, and grudges.
Original script written in improvisational collaboration of the Director, cast, and Marley Bridges Theatre Company & Newport Murder Mystery. Ensemble-oriented production features a cast of community actors ranging in age from 9 to 80, including Artists' Exchange's Music Director, Tom Chace.
Venue is Theatre 82 & Characters Café, located at 82 Rolfe Square in Cranston, Rhode Island.
