"What better way to finish our season of American Classics than staging the most famous of them all", says Ed Shea, director. "Tennessee Williams' sexy, sultry, soaring language will be enhanced immeasurably by our signature bare-knuckled approach to theatre. I guarantee you will experience it anew."
Steamy and sensual, "A Streetcar Named Desire" by Tennessee Williams is the provocatively stunning story of the indomitable Blanche DuBois. In the sullied French Quarter of New Orleans, Blanche arrives to live with her sister Stella, for an ‘indefinite amount of time'. Armed with a sordid past and illusions of grandeur, Blanche's arrival spurs conflict with Stella's rough, immigrant husband Stanley Kowalski. A fading flower, Blanche desperately seeks a new life but the tempestuous Stanley has other plans. Their potent struggle for power erupts into a torrid finale filled with passion and desire.
