Our Little Corner of the World 2002

In December 2023, the OC welcomed back two powerhouse vocalists who each gave their own respective holiday-themed concerts: Broadway fave Megan Hilty at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa; and recording artist Linda Eder at the Irvine Barclay Theatre. To no one's surprise, both entertained and awed with their spectacular talents.

Gospel Voices of OC, an artistic concert in conjunction with Juneteenth, will be held for the second year at Musco Center for the Arts at Chapman University on Sunday, June 10. Produced by Arts & Learning Conservancy’s Founder/CEO Debora Wondercheck, the multi-generational performances of diverse artists highlight the influence of gospel music as a source of historical impact and resiliency spanning June 19, 1865 to the present.

For 10 select weekends between June 4 and September 26, the sounds of music and memories will grace the Playhouse’s vintage patio. Seated at socially distanced tables of twos and fours, the patio comes alive seating 100 patrons for each of our four weekend performances — Fridays 5:00p, Saturdays 2:30 and 5:00p, and Sundays at 7:00p.

First Interstate Bank generously donated $250,000 to Alberta Bair Theater's Capital Campaign to help fund the theater's upcoming $12 million renovation and expansion.
