My Son's a Queer (But What Can You Do?) 2022

There is beauty in the simplicity of this concept. My Son's A Queer (But What Can You Do?) is a tale about growing up. More specifically, the 'ups and downs of raising a queer child.' It is also clearly a production made for and by generations of theatre kids, the kind who prefer to stay in the dress-up section of the school (especially if it gets them out of a football match).

Following another sell out run at this year’s Edinburgh Festival, My Son’s A Queer, (But What Can You Do?) transferred to the Garrick Theatre, in London’s West End, on 21 October and will run until 06 November 2022. Check out all new photos here!

An all new video has been released for 'We Will  Be Loved Anyway' from the Original Cast Recording of My Son’s A Queer (But What Can You Do?)

New Earth Theatre today announce the cast for Tsunagu/Connect Live, created by Kumiko Mendl and Kazuko Hohki. This theatre production was developed in response to an oral history project launched in 2020, that conducted over 30 interviews with Japanese women living in the UK.

My Son's A Queer, But What Can You Do? written by and performed by Rob Madge (Oliver!, Les Misérables) and directed by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet, In The Heights) celebrates the joy and chaos of raising a queer child, and due to record ticket sales, will now extend for a further two weeks, now running until Saturday 17 July at the Turbine Theatre.
