About the Album: Broadway Cares: Home For The Holidays is a collection of holiday classics and winter favorites performed by the creme de la creme of Broadway. The brightest stars from the brightest boulevard of theater in the world light up the holiday season with their collective voice. The entire Broadway and New York community have come together with all parties donating their services on an expedited basis to make this album a reality. These donations include the producing services of two-time Grammy nominee Tony Moran; the donation of studio time at recording studios around New York and Los Angeles to record the vocals and music for the 20 artists appearing on this album; the donation of artist time to record these songs from Broadway legends including Liza Minnelli, Alan Cumming, Audra McDonald, Jane Krakowski, Christine Ebersole, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Sam Harris, Lea DeLaria, Gary Beach, Roger Bart, Liz Callaway, Ann Hampton Callaway, Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal, Patrick Wilson, Billy Porter, Lillias White, Victor Garber, Davis Gaines, and Everett Bradley; and the donation of services from arrangers, composers, musical directors, musicians, recording engineers, media and advertising consultants and publicity firms. The recording artists have garnered 11 Tony Awards plus 17 more Tony Award nominations. The Broadway shows represented include the lead performers from: The Producers, Oklahoma, AIDA, Cabaret, 42nd Street, Rocky Horror, Rent, Dreamgirls (20th Anniversary), The Full Monty, Phantom of the Opera, and more. Arrangements and orchestrations include music from five-time Academy Award nominated composer Marc Shaiman (currently receiving rave reviews for his work on Broadway's new musical Hairspray) , Tony Award winning composer Jason Robert Brown, Grammy nominee Tony Moran, and more.
