Catfish: The Musical 2020

David Ashford, Daniel Curtis, and Hundred Acre Productions will present the World Premiere of 'The Pantomime Life of Joseph Grimaldi'.

The son of a deranged Italian immigrant, Joseph Grimaldi (1778-1837) was the most celebrated of English clowns. The first to use white-face make-up and wear outrageous coloured clothes, he completely transformed the role of the Clown in the pantomime with a look as iconic as Chaplin's tramp or Tommy Cooper's magician.

Make Your Own Musicals, a company started in lockdown, has been making musical activity packs for children to write their own original mini-musicals at home. Now, for the festive season, they are branching out into family pantomime packs to fill the void many families will be feeling this year.

The concert performance of Catfish The Musical will stream exclusively on the platforms Broadway On Demand and Stream.Theatre on Saturday October 31 and Sunday November 1 at 7.30pm.

The Turbine Theatre has announced its upcoming lineup through the end of the year. Upcoming shows include Horrible Histories, Hair, Great Expectations, the Barricade Boys, and many more.

Catfish is an original one-act contemporary musical created by Willy Mukendi and Joseph Purdue; two creatives who have never met in real life.  It is a one-act dark comedy focusing on social media, the pressures of fitting in and how far someone is willing to go to preserve a lie
