February 8-24, 2019. The Justice Theater Project Presents Men On Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus, Directed by Jules Odendahl-James. Ten explorers. Four boats. One Grand Canyon. MEN ON BOATS Based on the book The Exploration of the Colorado River and Its Canyons by John Wesley Powell, a one-armed Major, adventurer and explorer. Powell and his 1869 expedition wind their way through perilous waters in four boats, creating the first officially sanctioned map of the region. The humor lies in the modern portrayal of the fallible pioneers with all their natural bravery and fearlessness, portrayed by a brave cast of gender explorers. 8208 Brownleigh Drive, Raleigh, NC 27617. Price: $10-$22 (Student, senior, military and group discounts available). www.thejusticetheaterproject.org 919-264-7089
