Stand-up comedian, writer and actor, Fortune Feimster is one of the busiest women working today. When not acting, Fortune tours the world doing stand-up and will be doing just that at the Wilson Center.
Feimster first became known as a writer and panelist on “Chelsea Lately,” followed by successfully stealing scenes as a regular on the hit Hulu series “The Mindy Project.” Her ensuing tv appearances were numerous, and included a recurring role on Showtimes “The L Word: Generation Q.” Feimster’s voiceover work can be heard in many popular shows and movies including “The Simpsons,” and Pixar’s “Soul.” She recently released a one-hour special on Netflix called “Sweet & Salty.”
Affable, charismatic, and one of a kind, Feimster uses her confessional comedy to bring people together. Through laughter and storytelling, Fortune shows audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and sexual orientations that common ground is only a joke or two away.
