December 14, 2012. 26 Innocent lives were taken at Sandy Hook Elementary. Playwright Eric Ulloa asked all the townspeople he interviewed the same five questions. What things do you love about Newtown? Traditions? Locations? What was your day like on December 14th? Take me from waking up in the morning to your head on the pillow that night. Does this shooting shake your faith? Can (any form of God) exist when tragedies like this happen? What is the one word you’d want Newtown to be remembered for? The stories of the survivors and families of Newtown are told In their own words in what is not only an exploration of gun violence but a story of the importance of community, compassion, healing, resilience, perseverance, hope, and outpouring of love around the world. Like pebbles thrown in a pond, these 26 deaths created ripples that still reverberate today. Audiences are impacted by the show’s messages and leave with a different view than when they arrived. The result is a sense of community and growth.
