Theatre in the Park's Ira David Wood III and Wife Ashley Welcome a Baby Boy

Theatre In The Park has announced that Executive and Artistic Director Ira David Wood III, best known and loved for portraying the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge in his musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol, and his wife Ashley Mattox Wood are proud parents.

Thomas Miller Wood was born at Rex Hospital at 5:10 am on July 17, 2012. He weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces. Mom, Dad, and Baby are all doing well.

Theatre In The Park, located in the northern end of Raleigh's scenic Pullen Park adjacent to North Carolina State University, has been entertaining audiences since 1947. Theatre In The Park is one of North Carolina's largest non-profit performing arts organizations and is acclaimed for its numerous outstanding theatrical achievements. Each season Theatre In The Park presents an exceptional series of productions including the very best in comedy, original musicals, Shakespeare, and contemporary drama.
