Theatre Raleigh has announced its premier Theatre for Young Audiences original production, The Wolf, this February at The Fletcher Theatre. The Wolf is the antagonist from all your favorite Fairy Tales... Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, and The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Follow Peter, Little Red and the Three Little Pigs as they band together to overcome the threat of a common adversary.

Theatre Raleigh's, Theatre For Young Audiences program is excited to offer this piece to the Wake County Public School System; this will open up the world of theater to an audience that may not had the opportunity to experience it beforehand. "We're very excited that Theatre Raleigh is providing this innovative project for our students. With a clever mash-up of three classic tales, this creative team will inspire and engage the audience through high quality theatre, music, and dance."- Dr. Liz Droessler, Sr. Administrator for Arts Education - Wake County Public Schools

The Wolf brings to fruition a number of Theatre Raleigh's core missions; maybe the most exciting is to bring NEW theatre and to share the process with underserved Triangle audiences. It has been Lauren Kennedy, Theatre Raleigh's artistic director, longstanding goal to produce a true dance-theatre fusion piece and she couldn't be happier to have merged the two mediums seamlessly into this very exciting production . Of course, the opportunity to do a Theatre For Young Audience show every year makes The Wolf a true trifecta.

Kennedy has commissioned a powerful NY-based team to bring this fusion of our favorite tales to life. Script writer Joe Calarco and composer Andrew Catrini will join director Andrew Britt and choreographer Jason Wise.

Tickets are $10-$15 children, $20-$30 adult and are available at www.theatreraleigh.com.
